"Glocal" is a word coined by combining "global" and "local", i.e., "worldwide" and "regional" respectively. It means thinking about things from a global perspective while simultaneously carrying out activities rooted in local life and community.
While the word "global" relates to the whole world, being "glocal" embraces the viewpoints of both worldwide and local communities, which are often very different.
Being "glocal" embraces both global and local viewpoints. Therefore, while working worldwide, we must update and develop ourselves to serve and be responsible for the local communities in which we work and live. Working from a "glocal" perspective does not only mean selling our products and services all over the world; it also means thinking about how the products and services we provide are used in different countries and regions and how they become helpful, meaningful, and valuable in each local community of our partners and customers.
