Self-management
This concept is introduced as a key characteristic of organizations in the most evolved stage by Frederic Laloux in his "Reinventing Organizations." Teams in this stage have the autonomy to make decisions related to their work. This includes setting goals, allocating resources, and coordinating with others.
Laloux argues that self-management unleashes creativity, motivation, and a sense of ownership that allows organizations to be responsive and more agile to change as decisions are made closer to the point of action.
As members of an “evolving organization,” self-management is also an important pillar for o2Oh, which inspires competence and ability in ourselves and our colleagues. While deepening our “sense of wholeness”, pursuing self-management is to respond to the “evolving purpose” depending on changes in the environment or organizational policies.
